This is the only 8 frame hive that I have currently. It is the base of what is a honey flow hive and maybe this year I'm gonna try to see if that honey flow will work again.

The hive feels strong and has resources—it feels heavy. I also put in a sugar fondant brick. This one stung me once, so it might be a little upset.

It looks like it ate through the insurance fondant brick I gave it, so I added another. It's still heavy, and it looks strong.

This one looks like it ate through all the sugar and is starting to expand a little too much into the sugar area, which I don't like. I'll have to deal with it later.
Added flow hive

This is the 'famous’ Flow Hive. I have two of these and my results with using them have been mixed. Will give it another try this year.

The frames are built of some sort of composite/plastic material.

There is a way to insert a long key/bar and break/shift the cells so that the honey flows down out of them.

The flow hive fits on a standard 8 frame Langstroth hive.

The back side can be opened so the honey being collected can be seen.
Flow Hive Box Progress
In this story, I'm going to keep track of how the flow hive progresses as it's getting filled up with honey.

The bee swarmed, which is not something thst ever makes me happy, but I manged to catch them. My nephew Thomas was around so he got to see the action first hand, or shall I say, first shoulder.
Flow Hive, 8 frame box with 6 flow frames. Did not reverse the brood boxes.
